My favorite thing about this car is the stance, the back end has raiding blocks, and the front end had 2 inch drop spindles and 2 more inches cut off of the springs, who likes the stance?

    I like the big rake!
Can tell more about it after the rear fenders are on.

Remember that you asked....I think the rear is a little to high. Maybe if you can squeeze those big meats into those fenders it might look better to me.

  8. Hard to tell without a rear fender in place, may be ok as is.

Just viewed the picture on the PC and can see the rear fender was not on the car...... I thought just had it sitting beside the rear fender. My old eyes have trouble seeing details on the phone. Now I can see how far out your front tire is. You may have some trouble steering the car if it will be that low with the fender clearance being as tight as it appears in the photo. Don't get me wrong here. I like em low and my 39 is that low but the tires are quite small and inboard a little more than yours appear in the picture.

More backspacing on the front wheels would help eliminate some tire rub while turning.

Looks killer man. Bring those front tires in a bit to clear the fender, bolt the the back fenders on, slap that “street is neat” sticker on the dash and party on man

It's radical, and ok if ya like that sorta thing. I think it mullers up the natural slope of the decklid/rear window relationship. If that was a fenderless Duece or 33-4 5W with way too much motor it would be cool with a capital 'K'. On those era coupes that heavy rake tends to "infect" the sexy design of the grille, fender and headlights up front too. If keeping low is in the plan I'd take some hgt out of the rear and let it eat. Like booze, religion and politics moderation is best. That said though, if you dig it then rock on bruz but you asked who likes it.

I raised the nose on mine for the same reasons, to keep the design of the sheetmetal working, and also intend to raise the ass end another inch. Henry's boys got these cars right:

I would defer to @olscrounger for expert knowledge on wheel and tire sizes. As I recall he suggested using a 5” wheel on the front on his numerous 40 Ford builds.

If that’s wrong I don’t want to be right D1689700-F102-4E4E-B8D0-C7D19B3012F4.jpeg

    - yes I know the fender isn’t exactly the same angle but it’s close enough ;)

Top photo is my '40 the day I got it. Bottom photo is what it looks like now. Front axle dropped 2" by Nostalgia Sid. Sometimes subtle is a good thing. Just my opinion.

I really don’t think he’s that far off from how yours sits. The missing parts and angle make it look more drastic I believe

I'll go along with that Tim. It's not done yet and finished may forgive some visual sins as seen right now. I still like subtle, a "just enough" look. Like a 3" chop on an A cpe vs. 6", things that say it without yelling.

I agree with both of you. Here is a more straight side view of mine. I thought about more rake, but even where it's at, I have to watch it while driving, especially the chin and the front axle. I drive it a lot (257 days last year, every day so far this year). Driveability is an issue to me as well as looks. 20190913_105120.jpg

  25. I like em pretty low in front. SB 4” dropped axle with reversed spring eyes and a few leafs removed.
