I bought a '39 deluxe grill for $800 that had been run over by a truck. I think your solution is pretty cost effective. Are you going to put all the stainless on it?

    Nice work, -Abone.

i had a plan to do this with my 41 pickup. bought a couple 20' lengths of 1/2 x 3 1/6" flat stock, but never started the project. did you make a pattern for each bar? every one is different, and did you make a jig for bending the steel? lets hear more about it.

All the ribs are original, the center peice is made of 1x1 stainless bar, it was bent with a torch to match the rest of the ribs

This guy said it all! Keep up the awesome work.

I'm sure i can speak for the rest of the guys here when i say i love that a person your age is into old cars and not EFI, OBDII, coil over garbage. People like you are the future of hot rodding. It gives the rest of us hope for this hobby.

Don't be afraid to ask questions here, but be prepared to be set straight if your going in the wrong direction. Don't worry, the HAMB seems like a gentler place since the time i joined...

App? like an application for employment? I'm confused, but that's easy to do.

Paul Harvey was a staple of American A.M. radio for decades.
One of his features was called "And now for the rest of the story", Good Day!

    Just my $0.02 ..
Next time maybe drill holes through the ends of the teeth and rosette / plug weld them to the outer framework from the inside...
much less grinding... and gives an even edge or surface where the teeth meet the outer frame without having to grind both ends of each tooth until smooth...
don't take this as messing with you... I am a lazy guy, hate grinding if I can avoid it...
    …. go L G go !

Keep up the good work... looking forward to see where you project goes.

We need more young guys to get involved in this hobby and/or profession. Over the years I've had young guys tell me they'd like to come hang out at my shop to learn, but after a day of hard work (especially before I had A/C) you'd be lucky if they showed up again. Pretty sad considering they were usually working on their own cars!
