Technical Assholes in the house.... again!

Spammers are at it again guys. One had been there for some time. Hit the report button, I'm still finding if I do it twice, these asshole vanish!

The mods are probably on a sleep break, so don't be shy, help keep these parasites off our site with a simple hit the report button, type in, spam

Good job everyone. When I first read the title of this thread I thought the in-laws had stopped by unexpectedly for a long visit.!!

 

When I read the title I thought it was going to be a rant about someone stealing from him, glad it was not. This is a community that stays pretty well on top of the spammers but a reminder never hurts.

 

Just click report , when several people do it it disappears, spam is constant and the moderators have their hands full that's why we have the capability to report them.

It would amaze some the amount that we don't see that the moderators cut off at the pass! HRP

 

They do a great job. I never seem to see these?

 

the mods were quick to delete this one! Less then a minute and it was gone.

 

It would be nice if the admins could cut the allowed time between spam reports a little shorter, so I would not have to wait another 15 seconds to report the next one.

They hit right around 10 PM pacific time just about every night = after midnight central time when they think most of the moderators have hit he rack. I'm lost track of how many I have reported but it is probably in the hundreds.
We could knock them off faster if Ryan issued spam kill points. Guys would be reporting rather than ignoring.

 

And also being able to report them faster without the wait time would make it a lot easier and less frustrating.

 

I usually sign off for the night about 12:30 (Central) that's when I catch most of them.

 

I really have to wonder if anyone has ever clicked on the SPAM here? it would be a pretty stupid thing to do.

 

I'm always afraid of getting a virus from it.

Report them, don't just ignore, if you're not part of the solution, you are part of the problem!

Here in Japan its day time so get to report a few @Ryan like some of the others above have mentioned is it possible to shorten the time between reporting multiple posts?

I noticed a few years back, that two hits got rid of the parasites, but no one believed me. Been doing it every time I see them. I've not been around here as much as I'd like though, been using Instagram to document my tattoo career. I'm not sure how long I have left poking holes in people, due to arthritis and eyesight issues. I don't have a hot rod at present, but I compensate by driving a noisy V8. Haha.

 

I'm with those requesting a shorter time interval between reports.

I just killed two. It seems they are getting smarter. I actually had to read one to decide if it was spam or not (it was).

 

Just hit one twice right after it was posted. Didn't go away but it won't be long I hope.

 

Those turds must wait for me to sit down at night so they can start their spamming shite. What the hell are they
selling anyway? It always reads like the rantings of a drunken lunatic!

 

I've seen message boards where you have to be a member for 5-7 days before you can make your first post. Could that help the situation?

 

..........It's a nice thought, but then they would just wait 5-6 days and then bombard the site with spam.
