I visit the Phoenix area usually once or twice a year. I would like to know if there are any old car/truck museums of interest. I went to the air museum in Mesa a few years ago; that was cool. And the mine in Jerome several times. Also that big ass wrecking yard in Phoenix. But haven't found any leads on any other car/truck stuff to see. Any suggestions? I wouldn't mind traveling a bit. Thanks.

Penske car dealerships in Scottsdale have a small but decent museum

Depending on far "traveling a bit is" the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson is really something if you're into aircraft. Right up there with the Museum of Flight in Seattle. There's also the Franklin Car Museum, small but quite interesting. My typical experience there is 2-5 people, and the docent will probably be someone who worked on several of the restorations.

Not all HAMB stuff, but you mentioned Mesa.

This. I made my second visit in September. I had been before around 2001 or 2002, and I was blown away by the changes and additions they had made.

Thanks guys. I was aware of the Franklin museum and will add that to the list along with the Pima museum.

There is a neat race car museum in addition to Penske just south of the downtown area.

Thanks for the lead on the dwarf cars; my grandson will enjoy that one.
