My '56 Chevy 210 sedan, painted by Jack and Steve Graziano at Hollywood Garage in Staten Island, NY. Flat black with gloss red scallops.

Eventually going to repaint my Chevy, what's that color? Thinking of doing a panel style like yours but maybe teal/seafoam instead of white. Gorgeous wagon, it wears that style well.

I honestly don't know. I asked the painter to match the upholstery and some other samples of green I had that the wife and I liked. The white is Cadillac's Tri-Coat Pearl white, but I am not sure were he dug up the green. Our first choice was a PPG Vibrance Green, but when we found out the base coat alone carried $1000+ per quart price tag, that idea got 86'ed real quick. The painter then found a production color that was much more reasonable. Knowing my luck it is a KIA or Hyundai color and he just couldn't find it in his heart to tell me.....

I never thought of that, I'll keep my eye out for something and awkwardly ask a stranger for the paint code off their car haha

    Hello,

Scallops were not just for street custom cars. The famous “Hustler” from Art Chrisman had an immaculate race car painted in a go fast, scallop paint combination. Boy, did it go fast… and the scallop paint job was as slick as ever creating low E.T. times and top speeds all over So Cal.

in 1959, my brother and I went to Riverside Raceway to see the top East Coast racers come out West to challenge the top West Coast racers. Art Chrisman was one of the top West Coast racers that met the challenge. Despite the “questionable” results.

Then in 1960, we traveled many miles to Bakersfield to see the Smokers March Meet.#2 Again, Art Chrisman put on a show for everyone.
