I am hoping one of you HAMBers out there can help me identify the trim piece shown in the picture below. To me it sort of looks like an aftermarket fender skirt spear (similar to a '41 Buick), but honestly I have no idea. Please enlighten me if you can. Thank you.
It's so familiar. I have one of the aftermarket '41 Buick ones but it says "CUSTOM" on it which yours does not. Not saying there couldn't be multiple versions of aftermarket fender skirt trims, just not sure. Mine is chrome plated steel, is yours stainless? Most of the aftermarket stuff I've found is chromed. I swear I've had that piece before too, now it's going to bother the crap out of me.
Looks similar to the one HAMB member okiedokie posted about in a thread he started 4/19/18. Don't know if he ever positively identified his. -Dave
It's a bit too gaudy looking on those skirts. What the side trim, if any, looks like will also make a difference.
Found it ! Hutchins catalog, early '50s ... Correction !!! Not Hutchins … it was Williams & Bennett ….
302GMC, you're the man... thank you. I knew I'd get my answer here on the HAMB, along with some options (which is cool). I like these a bit more than the '41 Buick trim b/c my car is custom and this piece was made for my applications. All the best everyone.
