Could have bought this whole deal back in 1987, for $5500.00 with a whole shitload of parts off of them. Probably should have. Oh well, can’t have them all! 3BFA566D-8B51-4780-A6A4-D628CFE40DE6.jpeg 1611A524-8C87-4058-9C05-5E79380C2886.jpeg AB536A43-FAE1-4B42-B68A-03F082A5E173.jpeg 50358F96-04F0-4CA6-ADE1-83A22BF5E2C3.jpeg AC7E8003-D2D4-4466-A32C-2847BA4B91EB.jpeg 1AD5C48D-D3DA-4393-9F51-7BA7F09FF60E.jpeg 9C75D1F9-8874-4978-8118-E7F68BD1515C.jpeg 852E783D-79D7-482F-A54C-0E1AF30DE9E1.jpeg

This is one of the saddest sights I have ever seen in my 50 years of dealing with classic cars. I have been here one time in the last 2 years and in some ways I feel lucky I got out with my life although I was allowed in it was still a very threatening environment. I'm not saying they were bad people but they looked EXACTLY as if they stepped right out the movie Deliverance! and is strictly a "no trespassing".

There are more 1955 Chevy s-doors, 4-doors and Hardtops you would believe including one 55 Nomad inside the main building. I live in East Texas and those who are familiar with my area will more than likely know where this place is. Out of respect for the owner, I cannot disclose the location but let me say, it is an amazing place to behold as far as 55 Chevy's go. Sadly, nothing is for sale. I asked about a 55 2-door hardtop in a barn, the price was insane thereby concluding nothing is for sale. There are also a couple 30's coupes (Plymouth & Ford) inside the main building. Most are sitting outside under the trees rotting away. I did have a friend who got a 61 Impala Bubble Top out of here several years again while a "mob type" group of guys watched every move he made while on the property. He said the hair standing up on his neck the whole he was trying to load the car on a trailer and get out there. Sorry I don't have any photos. I was not allowed to take pictures. Trust me it is not a place you would want hang out for very long. This place is in the boonies!

Hell, Zack, those are some of the best places. I've made some semi-good friends over the years by being nice and respectful to Deliverance type guys, and been invited to stay for dinner more than once. This at places out in the woods that don't trust asshole city types, and have probably had their shit stolen by being "nice" to strangers. I made the mistake of taking a friend along once who thought acting like a country redneck racist would make them like him. This after warning him to keep his mouth shut while we were there. The father, and leader of the family klan politely told me to never bring that guy back, that they didn't like him. I apologized, told them that I didn't like my "friend" anymore, either.
Bought a lot of buick trim and nailhead stuff from these guys, and a running 66 Wildcat, too.
These guys were smart as hell, too, just not polished know-it-all city assholes. We got along great. They were the salt of the earth to me.

Oh hey. I'm not knocking these guys at all. The one guy who walked me through was VERY VERY nice to me and we got along very well. It's the others who I saw slipping around the corners of buildings and such that made me feel a little tense. I too have always gotten along with these types. As a former Deputy Sheriff, I found myself seeking out these places in my spare time. I never had a confrontation with any of these types and yes, they are in some cases really good people who just want to be left alone. It is just sad to me that they allow such wonderful cars to sit and rot away forever.

That black '57 hardtop has a station wagon rear bumper, which is interesting. Here's hoping both of those '57's and the Willys aren't still laying there sunk in the dirt.

  22. Didn't see a lot of V8 Mainlines back in the day, most Mainlines were 6 cylinder with 3 on the tree. Could be an old cop car, as cop cars were usually Mainline trim with V8 engine.
