That Kubota was lent to me by a friend who did excavating for a living. I had done several favors for him helping him save money on parts and repairs for his big stuff, so when I needed to use a tractor he let me borrow his. Later I bought a small one owner Ford tractor from another friend. Then my son got a new 47 HP Kubota. Last year I resold my Ford and bought a 2501 Kubota. We use our larger 9900 lb trailer to haul the tractors now, but the homemade one hauls about everything else. My son lives 50 miles away, so he keeps the big one and I keep the smaller one. Was originally supposed to be the other way around.;)

Quick update: I'm going to post on here to see if anyone is in the area and would want to transport it from NH to NJ. I like that suggestion that a few threw out on here and it can't hurt to ask. I just don't have time with my day job right now

  3. Rent the smallest uhaul trailer, put it on top of the box tie it down with straps and go. I brought a 40 Merc convrtible body that way worked good.

You are on the right track now. Pay to have it delivered. "Buy a trailer" then figure out where to keep it and your friends want you to help every weekend to move a car. Get it home!

  5. All of the trailers on the east coast were shipped to California to accommodate all the families moving to Texas and Idaho. The rental companies get an extremely inflated rental rate to accommodate the rush. Put it in your truck.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away - me and a buddy strapped a cherry picker into the bed of his truck and hooked up a PU, front wheels off the ground, and towed it 20 or so miles. Kind of a red neck tow truck. I hate thinking about those days. Dumb, stupid kids. And we were sober!!
