North Carolina was at the bottom in 54, top in 64.

    It's a 64 plate.

    Let's just compromise and agree it's a '59 plate.

Top of the plate says 'NORTH CAROLINA' . The right side, vertical stamping apperars to say "DEALER', but the top two letters are obscured..
Don't see any '64' on the plate, but the bottom is definitely '54'.

Save all the exterior SS trim as well as all of the window trim. It looks to be in good shape.

a little late for the side trim but the 54 plate would be nice one if available.

I believe that's the Boney and Claude, 54 Ford, notorious for being used in feed store holdups throughout North Carolina in the late 50's. They bought a farm with their loot, and parked the 54. The model is Boney's grand daughter. Based on that, it may be worth quite a bit, or, like GMG Sue always says, "why you always bring me junk?". I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Does it really matter what year the plate is. Considering my 64 Marauder was a South Carolina car till 2001 and considering the excellent overall original condition it is in compared to that 54 I would say that poor old girl has been sitting and rotting since dam near 1964!;) Even it had been wreaked ,I am amazed that a two door hardtop could have sat neglected long enough to have deteriorated that bad. It has been along time since you would see an " old" car sitting along side a barn or along a tree line out in a field around here. Local laws and scraper's took care of those eye sores years ago!:( Larry

It doesn't really matter what year the plate is, but it is worth noting little anomalies in pictures, since we often still accept them as factual evidence.

It really does seem that the license plate image was deliberately altered.

No doubt. If you do happen to see anything around here, it's a beat to hell pickup or a bellybutton econobox.
