Technical Help Identifying Unknown Part

Does anyone have a clue what this part is and what it fits? I acquired it in a bundle purchase. Thanks

 

Exhaust manifold for a two cylinder engine?

 

It is an air duct from air filter to 2 SU carbies, probably English

It does look a lot like an unknown part, doesn't it? Good call.

because he's from Switzerland and they know a whole lot about good watches.

 

1939 maytag ..for sure

 

I would say 1938 Maytag due to the offset inlet ports

 

I would say fits a dodge, someone had to say it

 

Take a look at a 2.4 Jaguar straight 6... might find it there

 

Notice how one lobe is symmetrically round and the opposite lobe is asymmetric at an angle to clear some other item? That means it's for a lefthand drive which at first impression seems to be English. But then check out the colored dot between the two ports. That nails it. Definitely from India.

 

Impressive deductions. I am a little disappointed that the henway guy hasn’t checked in though.

 

3.5 liter Jaguar Mark V

 

Not maytag, its from the military jaguar, mid 40's henweigh.

 

He's away from the keyboard, tracking down a lead on a flux capacitor, no doubt.

 

Shift Wizard I thought he was at the truck stop using their scales
