Just a heads up. If y'all are in the market for any chassis parts, the US dollar exchange rate, plus decent shipping charges gets you better quality parts for speedway prices. I sound like a damn commercial.

You should, all I've ever seen is positive comments about Welder Series.

  6. I thought it was a subsidiary of the Hoffman Group.

  7. Great stuff comes from welders series, get it unwelded or welded . I usually get it welded , I believe Pauls son tig welds the parts , some of the nicest tig welding I have seen !!!

I've bought a lot of small pieces like gussets and mounting tabs from them and they are far nicer than what most of us can cut out on our own.

Dumb comment of the day :D

They have built very nice cars and parts and they have been doing so for at least 30 years or more by now.

Their parts are very nice, and reasonably priced, good quality. Very good to deal with.

I think the confusion is the name, a few years back "welder-XXXX" had some issues as I recall.

I think Welder Joe was the Hoffman front name on eBay for a while. I bought some stuff from them, non safety related items, wire loom, power window kit, etc. Didn't know who Hoffman was at that time.

They have good parts but I should read the instructions before welding them together wrong.

  17. I understand why you think its a dumb comment. You have dealt with the people and have experience with them. But my comment was sincere, as BamaMav has pointed out, I had the name confused with Welder Joe which is a Hoffman Group name.
I guess someone pissed in your cereal this morning. I forgive you.:)

Great guys to deal with. Paul put together a rear 4 link kit for my A that worked properly with the low chassis and 41 Ford transverse spring. Also did some custom machining on some parts for a accurate fit. 4-link, panhard bar, steering links, anti sway bar all from Paul and DW.

Also believe they have a warehouse in the States for shipping parts to the US.

Wouldn't hesitate to deal with them again.

    That’s great, I forgive you too :)
No one peed in my wheaties :D
I can understand your confusion but now you know the difference between the Hoffman group of scumbags and genuine dedicated lifetime hot rodders.

Keep Welder Series alive before it melts into greedy, nameless trash.

I called them one day, long ago, to get some advice on which part to buy. Paul answered the phone.

Cool dude. Very helpful. Very nice parts. Excellent support.

I will be using stuff from them on my next build.

This is not a commercial. People who do good things need to have a spotlight!

I told this story in another thread however it fits here.
Many years ago I had a really nice 27 T Roadster body with a perfect original deck lid that I had hung onto for 20 years while I was raising my kids and making a living.
I had a wife (who is now an ex ) who wasn’t supportive of my desire to build it.

So I decided to sell it and a guy out in Ontario bought it

I crated it up and shipped it to Paul Hortons shop who built it for him.

Welder series is the exact opposite of the Hoffman group crap. Well engineereed & high quality parts that are either available assembled & welded or unassembled for those who like to do it themselves and save a bit of money doing it. I would not hesitate to use anything out of their catalogue if I had a need for it. I have used their parts on several different vehicles that I have either fully built or that i have done smaller work on.

And Paul and his son DW are great people to boot. There is a Horton frame under our coupe and we were having death wobble issues with it. Paul and DW spent 3 hours with me one afternoon helping sort out the chassis issues. Not just giving advice mind you, but hands on helping to adjust and tweak the chassis settings and test driving the car several times to get it dialed in and driving right. After all of that, they refused any compensation. They are some of the best people in the industry IMO.
