so the story starts off like this. I have to give my girlfriend all credit for the find. she was working and came across a picture of the 36 5 window and older gentleman standing next to it. she struck up conversation and come to find out it was the ladies father and his car. she went on to tell here how I was building a 1930 model a and always loved seeing old cars around. lady then tells her that her fathers car will be for sale soon and my girlfriend gives her our info to contact us when it is. couple weeks goes by and find out that one of the guys I work with is going over a older car and getting it road ready so I ask about it and wouldn't you know its the same 36. so while he's working on it I go over and check it out and see what's going on. he tells me he will put in a good word for me. After awhile I get contacted about the car. I had one or two other buyers in front of me to purchase it. So after months of waiting and phone call after phone call the title was transferred and I have it home safe in the garage. it will need some love to get it completely road ready, but now on to what yall really want to see PICTURES!!!!!!!

X10! That's my bucket list car. It's even the right color.

Great looking car, you got lucky. What's that "thing" bolted on the front bumper?

Man, that's one NICE '36 5/W...but I dunno, in the 2nd pic, one of the grill bars seems to have a slight bend...I hate to see you get screwed like that. You should probably return the car and try to get your money back.
Then, give me his phone number, so I can give him a piece of my mind...;)

The half hoop on the front bumper looks to be decorative I'll snag some pics of it. Who ever painted the car last didn't prep it correctly it's starting to crack and flake off. Thanks everyone I'm still in aww of it

My '36 Five window had the original radio, and it WORKED!
Everything worked, great deal. No rust, California car. Paid $275. Cash. Paid $100 weekly 'til it was mine.

Great find. My neighbor had one when I was first getting into cars.
It was called the gray ghost because he was always hiding from the cops.
It had a full house Merc flathead that my dad built for it.

Very beautiful car. For how nice the 36 coupes look, I always thought they dropped the ball on the styling of the headlights. Probably can't see them from the driver's seat though.

Is that a solid bar or is it hollow?

Looks like it came from some "art-deco" kitchen furniture and they didn't even get the holes in the bumper right. You should go and ask for your money back LOL
