  1. Got any hood sides from a 37 Chevy truck?

I’m wondering if smooth sides will trap to much heat. I want to drive this thing around, and there’s not a lot of room for a radiator.

Well, I’m going with the louvers,as much as I hate them, they are junk laying in the yard and that fits the build.

I can't seem to finish anything from good parts let alone "junk".............................

  6. Some guys take a pile of perfectly good parts, then toss a bunch of new stuff in the mix and cannot build themselves anything but “JUNK”

Wildman Sibley here does things a little different

Why do I hear rob Schneider’s voice when you say that?

412E4A25-D518-46C8-A8EB-4DD3FDBEF07F.jpeg Very primitive mock-up hood side, with louvers. I think I like it.

  13. Jim, not only do you have talent, but you also have imagination. I appreciate your ability to make silk purse out of many pigs ears.

  14. ... I like Jim Sibley's definitions of "primitive".

Hood cut & fitted with body line.

Mine would be cardboard with Sharpie stains on my face & fingers.

Aboner, that’s exactly what I thought. I’m going to raise the grill line to match the top of the side vents.

  19. Hey Jim,
How the hell are you getting him in there?

Car looks like a bad ass
That particular louver set up ain’t doing it for me though. Thought you were doing a 35 truck hood ? Those look too much like shutters or gym lockers.

Sorry, my bad, 1936 ford truck hood sides, not 1935. Like I said they were just junk laying on the ground in my back yard.

1935 truck would be nice, with the swoopy louvers, but I think they are to tall, and these were free, and in my pile already.

07EC5F88-F8C0-46F1-A7EB-A9F59CD6BE4F.jpeg I am thinking of ditching the front grill work, maybe going with a Chrisman brothers front, but with a small air scoop in it.

4393BF8C-F161-4E5F-892D-1681732E8359.jpeg I’m thinking of an oval opening, sunk in and smoothed out kind of like an old airplane cowling only oblong.
