So I’ve been working on this for a while. I essentially took the old wiring diagram and redrew it in AutoCad and colored the wires and made it easier to read and easy to blow up clearly to 24x36. I hope it helps everyone. Let me know if I need to make any changes. It will be a work in progress is I clean it up more.

Thanks. I don't need it now but may help down the road!

Very nice! I wish my eyes still worked, though, so I could read it when it's printed on a single page. I wonder if there's a way to make everything bigger, but still fit it on one page? (I have the same problem, even worse, with the original drawing)

Nice thing is, you could actually print it on huge paper at Kinkos. (It’s drawn on Arch D 24x36”) and the line weight is actually a MM so they are pretty thick. Let’s me blow the writing up tomorrow Squirrel and I’ll send you one.

Thanks. I'll see about getting a larger print made.

Are you per chance on the 47/59 group of the 67/72 Chevy truck board?
If not would you mind if I shared that with them?

  7. Laminate it and frame it... nice job! It should help lots of folks out there. I'm an AutoCAD user myself, lots of fun putting something like that together. I may take a whack at it with the old schematic I have for my car.

No I don’t mind at all. I did to because I needed a clear wiring diagram and the color coding makes it easier to follow and wanted to help out the community.

To view expanded n the screen as needed:
    - open the image in your program of choice
    - hold down the control key
    - tap on the "+" key on the numeric keypad (ten keypad) as needed to expand the diagram
    - tap on the "-" key on the numeric keypad (ten keypad) as needed to reduce the diagram
This way you can view the expanded diagram (you will need to scroll because the image is expanded)
Or, use the Adobe Acrobat toll to expand/reduce the image.

Ok here is another version of the wiring diagram. I reworked the drawing for 8.5x11 to fit as best I could. I blew up the names of the parts and changed the lineweight so it was a balance between being visible and to mushed together to see.

See if this one works ok for you Squirrel!

Good I’m glad it helps! I just read through your Lemons Rally write up. It was a hoot! I’ve got a 50 Hudson Commodore that would be a great time in a big behemoth like that!
