Oh, damn, they gave you the whole back section, that is cool !! I thought they were only going to give you the center of that piece. This will make it a piece of cake to replace the back section. :D:D

I'm happy for you. It confirms what I always knew, the folks at BV are really good people.

This will make it so much easier for you to complete the repair.

Wow, nice piece, this thread has been a great read. The final outcome and the reason/explanation for the new piece only helps further the companies reputation, as Cyclone mentioned above, " treat others like you want to be treated " :)

Thanks, fellas... completely happy with the outcome here. I don't wanna gush too much, but Brookville handled this just about perfectly. Nice folks running a smart business which focuses on customer retention and positive word o' mouth.

    Spread the word! :D

Had some recent renewed interest in this old post, so thought I'd post a pic of the project as it stands today. Obviously, it's been slow going as life, other projects, and general frustration tempered my progress... but GNRS got me fired up again! So, this weekend I started shimming the body fit to get prepped for some interior support structure. Once done, I can start prepping the cab for paint... then it's on to incidentals like wiring, etc.

The replacement rear cab section provided by Brookville was a huge improvement over the bondo'd original, but it took lots of effort for a novice metal guy to make it fit as well as the original did. It's damn close now... just need to lock it down.

I wonder how many people got 1/2 way thru this thread and stopped feeling Brookville did him wrong, without finding out the true ending.

I had convinced myself that your grille shell was a different color until these last pics. Great color choice!

I dunno, but it's their loss... they missed out on a fascinating story arc with a big payoff twist ending.

    Nope... dammit.

    Thanks, man.

    Thanks!!
