Part 12 of the crusty flatty series is up on YouTube.

After last weeks mid project crisis I take stock of the other parts that need to be serviceable to make the motor run. I examine the crank, rods and bearings. Lets see just how bad they are, and if they will clean up enough to at least run.

Thanks for following along and joining me tinkering in the garage. If you like the video please give this thread a bump, especially if it is not on the front page.

    Thanks,

    Mart.

Thanks Tommy. it will be interesting to see what the future holds. If it means I can get parts from the USA easier and cheaper then I'm all for it!

Great video Mart. You should should just put it together with a set of new rings and a ball hone cylinder prep. I'd be willing to bet you would have a decent runner.

I was wondering why you didn't show pics of the lower bearings after spinning the crank. Enjoyed the tutorial nonetheless.
I watch Cold War Motors and it's got a cool vibe, like your videos, of doing with what you have and not just throwing money at the issue.

Thanks guys, work is continuing apace.
I didn't purposely not show the lower bearings, the crank was in the way. They are ok though.

    Thanks for taking an interest.

    Mart.
