Nice 49-50 Chevy 5-Window pickup. I wish it was close to me. . Blue GMC pickup is okay too.

  2. The Chevy and GMC pickups are early models as indicated by twist door handles and no vent glasses. What was the first year these truck had vent windows? '50? I'm thinking push button door handles came about '52 or '53?

'51 was first year of vent windows, and last year of twist handles.

The blue GMC I posted above is a '50, my buddy saved it from it's 30+ year resting place a couple of months ago, we'll see how long it sits in that spot ;)

Looks solid! You need to do something with that:)
I always think of putting the shorter chevy front sheet metal on those (or modifying the pontiacs fenders to make them shorter, something like the Canadian version), after lopping off the front of the frame at the firewall, square tube frame and straight axle for shorter chevy wheelbase:cool:
Wouldnt really need a hood or bumper:)
