Fellow car nut Mark Klein, who has a 32 roadster,we run often to car shows together, set up this hole thing with out telling me. He was asking a few more rod Q then usual, but he's asking some all the time.and this passed week ask for some extra photos. Now I know why, thanks Mark,it's a nice write up ! that showed up on this car show site ; This was a good surprise, some of the write up was off a show page history sheet, I did,an give out too those that ask. But other stuff was also added from the tricky Qs.

Well written and well deserved Dana! I love the hand made details on your car, most I've never noticed until now. I'm as old as your car, a 1959 model, and I would rather take something and make it into something cool and useful instead of thumbing through a catalog and running up the credit cards!

  5. Nice write-up!

I think you are almost a rare hot rider , keeping a car for so long. Kudos for getting some deserved recognition of having a build it yourself can do attitude. Reading in your words that you did this and built that and having part of your Gramps donation just adds to the cool factor .

  11. It's always nice to receive a little recognition...congrats.

  12. Dana, you and your car are legendary. Congrats on the cool coverage.:)....Don.

Congratulations on a great write-up and an even greater Hot Rod. I still have my first one, built in 1965, so you've got me beat there. Plus, mine is now in pieces being rebuilt (you obviously did a better initial job than I did).

  15. From following your posts through the years, I'm not surprised at the story. And, it's a good story. Congratulations. :)

Dana, that’s a great article. I always love seeing your hot rod at local shows and getting a chance to chat with you. That hot rod has a thousand awesome stories.

  20. Way to go Dana, very well deserved . Lookin good buddy.:)

  21. Congratulations my friend and a big thanks to your friend Mark for his part in seeing to it that you and your hot rod received some long overdue press, the article was well written.

You are truly one of the guy's here that I read everything you post, you built and was driving a home built hot rod when I was building models and dreaming about driving.

To own the same hot rod for 61 years and still driving it is a testament to a young man's skills and determination.

Again, Congratulations are well deserved. HRP

Bravo Dana! You did good way back then and even better by preserving it as it was then. I’m glad to see you get some well deserved accolades.

Make runs most all good weekends with no rain, year around here in Miami Fla. Only snow jobs here is from my buddy's. LOL
Plus 2 to 6 of us old car nuts go out to lunch or dinner together ,a few times a month in mid week, often drive hot rods then too.
Frankie's Pizza has been around from 1954,and Arbetter's Hot Dogs from 62 or Shorty's BBQ from 1951 an other's,most of our cars maybe could drive there self, being they know the way by now.
Sad that all our old car hop drive inns are gone now.
I built an also worked on good number of other rods & race cars now owned by others,so when one of those is also at a show that's extra fun too. 17AvUS1pizza.jpg

Cool Dana! I was always heard that a man should see his name in print only three times; when he's born, when he marries and when he dies. I'm glad you got some extra coverage thrown in there.
