I knew an older cousin. The family were originally from the Alsace-Lorraine region in North eastern France. The cousin’s name was Phuque Off!

X-Rayed a Vietnamese/Cambodia/Laotian kid once in the Emergency Room; his name was Phuc Yu (I swear to our Lord this is a true story!!!). I took the X-Ray requisition to a well liked Pediatrician, that was in the E.R. seeing a different patient, and asked him how to say this kids name. He said it three times before he realized "what" he was saying. I imagine that kid got a lot of grief in school. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Us rednecks are looked up to around here, we even have yuppies that are wanna-be rednecks:rolleyes::eek: They can't pull it off to well though, who ever saw a redneck drive a BMW, even if it does have lighted mud flaps and coon tails:p:D

I'm thinking Bones asked his buddy what it was and is just jerkin' our collective chains to see what we say!

Fess up Bones! Just what is it?

No, actually we were walking out of the garage it caught my eye, took a pick. Meant to ask him about it, but I was there with another friend that was trying to make a deal on a 557 vs 429CJ engine , so I didn’t ask when I saw it , then forgot. Thought I’d throw it out here to see if someone knew what it was. Since he was a boat guy, I just though it was some boat manifold. I’m not familiar with boats at all! Looks like folks here think it’s one of a kind, homemade thing. I guess I well call him and ask him what it is!

Growing up, I did not know the term “ Okie” was considered derogatory in some areas. Later , the same with the term “ Red Neck”! I alway though they were somewhat complimentary. Today I wear the terms like a badge! And being a “ Redneck” and from Oklahoma.... I consider it a “ Gold” badge!

I went to school with Mike Hunt. It was extremely funny when a female teacher announced an award for him. :D
