I admire all that Ross accomplishes and it certainly does not matter to their business model but aren’t those EFI throttle bodies that only resemble 97’s?

It's a small air compressor, but I can't tell you what it's for. Here's a close up of it, but you can't see what it's plumbed into. I didn't want to get closer to the car for another shot showing the system, I felt that was pushing my welcome too far. You can see it goes into a small tank, with a Schraeder valve where you could bleed off the pressure, but I don't know what it's for. DSC_3119.jpg

Good question, here's a close up, something doesn't look right about them.

DSC_3290.jpg DSC_3291.jpg DSC_3292.jpg I took over a dozen shots of this car, I could bore you with shots from every angle, but others have already posted plenty of pics of it, so I'll just post a few with a little different perspective. If you want more, I've got 'em...

Thanks for the closeup, while those castings look very nice they are definitely for EFI. Stromberg’s would show a brass screw on the front for the float and the fuel inlet should be on the driver’s side too.

The engine was mounted sideways (sidewinder) and I don't think there was a curve anywhere on the body, it looked like a slice of aluminum pie.

The Icon derelict Hudson was the bomb and the '56 Nomad next to it wasn't too shabby either.

There is a story behind this rod, I've met this guy before at a local cruise night and talked to him about his car. The guy is a firefighter. This car was caught up in one of the fires that ravaged the state a while ago, and this guy came across it in the process of fighting the fire. The old guy that owned it at the time considered it a total loss and was just going to junk it. The fire fighter talked him out of that, he told him he'd get it back on the road. So I believe the owner either gave it to him or sold it for a nominal fee, and the guy took it home and oilla! What you see is the result of him turning it into a hot rod. He has no plans to try to fix the body up and paint it, it is what it is, that's it's story. DSC_3355.jpg DSC_3356.jpg
