I was thinking it was a Coupster being a 5 window...thoughts? I mean the door does roll around the cowl/dash as if it's a Roadster correct...maybe the back half is a modded coupe...

Perhaps just the absence of all the Top and Associated Hardware give the illusion of, as it certainly looks incomplete...here's another that has graced this thread and It could be the same car albiet there are many differences.

  2. I think the windshield placement is giving it a longer look.

TB this is the Hotrod 31A is speaking of...I just posted another that I immediately thought of to compare...that said even this windshield looks fabbed...

Definitely looks like a roadster cowl and doors, but it is longer. I thought the same thing when I seen it in other books, one had a closeup of the side.

31A any mention with the other pics of who owned it as that may help in tracking down it evolving to this Hotrod we are in curiosity about...

    I did get Oilers CC...

This is a vintage pic that has graininess due to so many stages of being reproduced beginning perhaps from the original exposure quality...why I mention this is that may answer my observation below and at the end of the day it's absolutely an admirable Jalopy Hotrod...

I have wondered is there an ass end of another 34 roadster, Ford or otherwise spliced onto the back as where I have highlighted the bead in the quarter widens aft of the area I identified...

I can't imagine it being Photoshopped for the publication and with our knowledge historically of splicing stuff together with minimal funds I think the latter may be the answer...the description doesn't even note what we are curious about...I love the driven and the ability to note and wonder what our past torchbearers were up to...and of course what made them different...;)

   ...some adjustment necessary...;)

This appears a pretty early influence to that low slung look so popular today often creating responses that it has no place here, it's deeper than that of course...

The Good Ole Days...best thing is we can still live some of that freedom as we have the inspiration...

I think this is a Hambers ride and also reminds me of the Hotrod @Ziggster posted back a bit...

I don't know if you get to take it home for a year or if you just get your name on it.

Much too much of a highboy to be a road racer.
