It looked a lot better then. With all the goofy modifications he should have turned it into a four door Yugo as well!

Great pics Tom. As I was scrolling down the '53 Studebaker coupe really caught my eye. I love those cars and the owner did it very tastefully in my opinion. They came off the line about as good as you can make them look.

I doubt the Auburn is real, but I did not ask. Really nice gentleman who shipped it over from Sweden.

Regarding my AMBR coverage (or lack there of):

I try to conform to the simple standards that Ryan has outlined, describing the parameter of cars welcome here. Everyone should have read these upon joining. Occasionally, I will show a car that is not 100% HAMB, but is definitely there in spirit.

The one qualifier that I establish for myself is that I stay away from featuring cars with large diameter, shiny wheels. Definitely not traditional (or classic, as I see it). So that's why you saw very little AMBR coverage on my thread.

And, yes if you scrutinize my coverage enough, you will find an exception or two.

Congratulations to AMBR winner, builder Doug Jerger. He and I have been online correspondents for years now, so at this show, we finally had the opportunity to meet in person and had a great chat.

First of all, thank you to Tom for taking the time to share the photos.
All of the cars and trucks are stunning and beautiful and creative.
Purely for my taste, the 37 Studebaker coupe express truck, would be my choice for a daily driver.
The Hit & Miss special would be the unique play toy.
The elegant green and grey Auburn boat tailed speedster would be my choice for " nice sunny day or Friday night cruiser, Saturday or Sunday cruise in the country ride".
To me, the Green Auburn gets my vote as to what a cool Art Deco period piece of automotive jewelry should be!
As far as this years choice of AMBR winner, well you know how I feel about the Auburn!
Congratulations to all of the builders and owners that participated!

Thank you-great shots as always! Love the black 40 std sedan. Not much of a custom guy but really like the charcoal Chevy torpedo as well. All the shots are terrific. Haven't been since it was in Oakland.

As a general rule I like rear tires that fit the wheel well, and full hoods, but this car is an exception. Bob
