Jimmy Vaughan, the Late Stevie Ray Vaughan's brother who was a legendary Blues Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter who was tragically killed with others in a helicopter crash...

Jimmy is also a accomplished Musician...has a passion for vintage cars...and is a Standup Guy as noted...

@Blues4U must have been pretty happy to meet him as he is a musician as well and also into vintage cars...

Damn, that is kind of depressing. Hope it isn’t an omen for the hobby. I guess sponsoring Dragula would of been over the top.

He's also a good friend of that bearded guy in your avatar.

 

I'm so old that when the Vaughn brothers showed up at a rod trot in the Austin Area in the early 70' they were just Skotz's musician friends. and the big woop about them was one of the gals in the bunch was braless and wearing a mesh top. They had a custom even then.

OK, no updates for awhile, but I've been busy, another day at the show. We did the drive in today, it was killer. I left the house at 5:45 to meet up with @joegio and his awesome RPU, and then we caravaned up to @39ChevyBob 's place where we met him and a buddy of his with a hemi powered Model A coupe. The 4 cars then ran up to the fairgrounds at about 6:30, the sun was coming up lighting up the sky. Here we are rolling in.

Blues was the GNRS on the same grounds as that what looks to be a Stadium?...Pretty cool Events when we're up to our necks in winter in the North Country...that is kinda cool...

 

Yeah, I think that may be the horse track there. Big horse racing event there every year during the LA County Fair. There's also the 1/4 mile NHRA drag strip on site too, where they hold the famous Winter Nationals coming up next moth; and the finals too at the end of the season.
