I spend a lot of time studying other people's cars. More so than most. I even have my wife doing it now.

I appreciate the time and effort spent to make something look purposeful. Post up pics of nice, well thought out chassis. I appreciate bandit Billy's cars. He has a similar affliction for polishing, like I do, so I can relate.

Hopefully, he will post more pics of his stuff.

  9. Billy I have never met you but you also do fabulous work.
The color contrast with the exterior body,,and the firewall under body color.
    Man,,,it just goes together.
It looks like pure class,,,,combined with hot rodding .
All the chrome and polished stainless,,,combined with the colors.
Man,,,I would be a nervous about even getting around yours and Marks rides.
I might accidentally breath on it or something.

Now,,,I like the regular stuff as well,,,,,that’s all I can ever do anyway .
However,,,we should always try to be the best we can.
I especially have respect for the ones that do it themselves.

Still quite a ways to go on the chassis but here are my front motor mounts and bellhousing mounts.

@-Brent- that is nice stitch work.
Mine? I built them out of SS, they bolt in to threaded bungs that run all the way through the frame rails and boxing plates. The flathead and tranny drop out the bottom of the car for service thus the motor mount engineering. I had to test that feat when I found out the hyd TOB was leaking. Radiator, hood, sheet metal all remained on the car while I R&R'd the drive train.

Exhaust hangers are 8BA rods that I cut down. The tubing was to help isolate the hangers from the frame. I guess it works
    upload_2020-1-26_18-24-46.png
I welded more threaded bungs into the tubing to hold the 6 rod/hangers. Here is one.

It is not without its fault and errors, but like was said above It is the best I can do.

I like painting the floor a different color than the body/chassis, other-wise the chassis details disappear . 20200119_135352.jpg

Nothing flash, I just moved the side mounts back due to Fentons, insufficient room in OEM position. No room for [Hurst] saddle mounts due to other OT accessories with Alan Grove brackets (AC & PS). Engine tube had to be widened slightly (Sleeved). Rear of brackets is reinforced for strength.

    I think it looks slick!

They all have their idiosyncrasies. Most times nobody would ever know unless it's posted online.

Can you post some detail shots of your front suspension? Is that a Panhard bar attached to the right wishbone?
