Thank you. I've been having fun with it. It's easy for me to cut and try things on a body that cost $300.00 12 years ago.

I plan on cleaning up the door jam before doing the side panels.

    Makes me feel really lazy...
    great ideas, maybe better workmanship...
I like the cockpit combing curling around each seat...
makes a small triangle on top of the tulip panel...
If I steel this tulip idea I will mount a tasty 3rd brake light on a proportionally smaller than your tulip's triangle shaped base...
maybe I will run a red lensed A cowl light turned 180* as they don't have an ugly back side, they are made to be seen from all sides...
any updates on this beauty ?

Progress? I found a beverly b2 shear on Craigslist and mounted in on a stand.
20191117_141710.jpg Now my b1 has company. I redid the door jams for the 3rd time. The new door jams are going to require more work to the doors. So, I'm not sure I would call it progress. I did not take pictures. I will definitely get some pictures tomorrow .

I trimmed up the door jams and finally got the corners done today. Now I have to thin the doors up to match.

I don’t know how many people on here have used a Beverly shear but if you do any sheet metal fabricating you need one.

More work to the driver side door. Thinned out and added the bead to blend into the rear quarter. I also blended the door into the dash better. 20200101_170955_HDR.jpg 20200101_170907_HDR.jpg 20200101_170841_HDR.jpg

Dyce are you doing Drone in the Garage...:D

Happy New Year...I'm thinking ahead and you may have mentioned, are you applying some Rolls and Pleats in those Swoopy Seat Pockets? That has an mid 50s to early 60s show vibe going on there...awesome stuff and really coming along there Dyce...;)

Thanks Stogy!! To start with I plan on painting the interior panels. The MGB seats are getting covers. I had both knees worked on this fall and winter so that slowed the progress.

My father in law snapped this picture with his old flip phone. I had a bunch of shit laying out, but it shows how the car fits like a glove!! 1215191537_01(1).jpg

Progress on the doors. The right side lower patch is done, dash lines up now and the inner panel is in place. The bead looked like ass so I made a new piece and welded into the inner quarter. 20200124_094608_HDR.jpg

Thanks guys!! I got the doors latching again. I'm looking for door handle ideas now. Radiator, grill and hood are next.

The distraction of the week. 20200130_100253_HDR.jpg
Two 327s, three 283s, and two 265 blocks. The 283 with the pan is a 1957. Why do we abuse ourselves for this old stuff?

I've taken plenty of these apart but I can't remember using a jackhammer to get the cam out.....

There is no end to distractions. Some are more fun than others. Can you have the cam reground?:D

Another distraction. I went north into the frozen bowels of Minnesota to get a pexto shear yesterday. Blew a tire on the suburban in the way up there. No big deal, a little inconvenience. Got the shear loaded and half way home blew 2 tires on the trailer. With one tire and -10 air temp and 49 mph winds I left it until Saturday. I'm really pumped about getting it set up. I've wanted one for a long time.

Yes I believe it is a 32 Chevy hood. I'm not sure if I'm going to use it. If I do it will just be the sides.

I did get the shear home. 100 miles at 55mph on 3 wheels. One of the spare tires I brought had the wrong offset and I couldn't use it. So at 1:00 am I decided fuckit......

Well I got my new shear set in place today. I've been squaring up every piece of sheet steal in sight!

I'm starting back up on the fenders. The left is really close. I was fighting the right side a couple years ago and had to put them away because I couldn't grip a hammer anymore.
    20200209_140146_HDR~2.jpg
I cut a little patch and tipped the edge to start the wire edge process.
