The '38 Three Window a few posts back is awesome. Henry never made one of those.

I'm not sure, perhaps Argentina Like Australia had some oddball models...but that definately has had lots of roof work done so yes there is potential there for an unusual interesting Hotrod or Custom...

@Cristian Avena what is the story on the 38 Ford Coupe the first one you posted?

Looks to be a roof from an earlier car grafted on and done aesthetically well.

V12 or is it a V16 for #16...how cool is that Eh!

    Adrenaline inducing indeed...

He should've been, especially after running 145.

From the width of the doors and the deck lid I think it started as a tudor sedan. They may have moved part of the top and rear windows uo or cut a piece from a coupe. A coupe deck lid would improve the lines in back greatly. I think the '38 Delux and '39 Standard front ends were some of Fords best designs.

Actually, take another look. I think it started as a 4 door sedan.

I have to say both you fellas have clever observations but Hunters nailed it as I see door handle holes on the quarter and the door...

I again have to admire our international membership for making the best with what they have...I mean we all face obstacles in getting what we want but for many the ground is less fertile...

Good Eye @studebakerjoe coupled with your much valued knowledge of course to solve what was not mentioned by the descriptive text that was provided...

Marmon was a force...and while searching to confirm that I happened into this bit of modern inspired Vintage Bliss...a Marmon Hotrod...

It also looking back at Tony C's Hotrod he made use of the Marmon Body and perhaps Chassis to boot it seems...

Yep, I think you are right. I just looked at the wide door. I didn't see the vertical rear door line in the quarter. I'd like to see it finished.

...There's 'A' Bones...now perhaps this is a 'T' Bone...this was probably quite a quick little very unique Hotrod package...

Is that a shifter stuck in the ground in front...bet they thought Stogy wouldn't notice...wrong...:D...I just switched the pic to another angle and that is actually the Nerf Bar...;)

There's a story with this one at link below...

    https://m.chron.com/cars/article/Tw...story-for-current-12461595.php#photo-14766962

    Quoted Below...

'The roadster had been hot rodded out in the early 1940s and was one of Texas' first hot rods, with the title actually listed to a man named Johnny Outlaw.'

...this is apparently late 40s...beyond cool...

I would never have believed it but it certainly conveys Hotrod without need of Description...just major admiration...

An interesting note about the Coupe owned by Bill Phy is it went on to be the first SCTA Coupe raced and placing a record at Bonneville in 1949...

Anybody know anymore details this was quite a radical departure?...all good though, just another day in Hotrod...

I don't love everything I post but totally agree with you on that Coupe looks undone and aggressive...the roadster also has a somewhat evident low profile which helps understand where things were transitioning in that period...

I am also amazed at where that Coupe transitioned and how long that took as that's a dramatic makeover...

It doesn't happen alot but it's quite something when what we see in these vintage pics survives to date...not sure if either survived...at the very least the pics did...bonus...;)

...Lincoln Powered, overflowing in Chrome, Howard Mitchell's Hotrod was a Class Act indeed...not nuts about shoes off but I think that may have been a rule and of course No Smoking...;)

The Alazan Coupe...still around but has lost its Vintage Cool...a reality we have seen many times but there is always the future and the Vintage Pics shared here in this Thread before preserve past ambience and inspire forever...
