  4. It's a 1930. The 1931 has a one piece running board splash apron and a painted reveal area at the top radiator shell area.

  5. 30/31 one of the restorers in the group will know exactly but its a 30/31 to someone like me.

Now with a photo to define the question. 2020 would be incorrect.

I knew when I posted that someone would say 2020. :) Thanks for all the quick replies, much appreciated. I thought it was either a 30 or 31.

The grill shell and splash aprons say '30 but that alone does not make it so. Many things may have happened in it's lifetime to make it otherwise. Is there a reg/title? If so whatever is on that, to the DMV, makes it what it states.

My son in laws boss owns it, I'm trying to buy it through my son in law. What would this be worth? Supposed to have been redone in 84, garaged since then. I haven't seen it in person, pictures look pretty good. Says it needs the gas tank cleaned out and some brake work to drive.

If I get it I won't cut it up. Any changes I make to it would be minor, such as brakes and maybe some lowering.

I have a 29 sedan that I acquired in lots of pieces, most of the rust is fixed now, I can cut that one.

They are the same size and will fit a 30 or 31 radiator. HRP

A question for the group. Would it be a sin to hotrod a clean example A like this? Just a matter of opinion?
Entry price wise compared to a 32-34 sure makes a solid, never rusted out example tempting since they produced so many.

I'd say it would be a bit of a sacrilege to cut one that complete and nice that also has several Model A club high Bubba factor items on it. Plenty of older real solid but tired restorations around for the 6/8 K that Chris mentioned that can be hot rodded
I saw this one I saw last September. The guy talked like he had a lot of fun with it and seemed to take it to a lot of places. 35 wires and a few upgrades that aren't readily visible. IMG_8120 (2).JPG

also, the crease on the front fenders, 30 stops about an inch or more from the front leading edge, and 31's have the crease going all the way to the edge

I heard this weekend that he wants $7500 for it. I'm hoping to go look at it this next weekend, if it's as good as it looks in the pictures it'll probably be coming home with me. Thanks for all the comments and opinions. Keep them coming.
