It is with great sadness that I that I must inform Hot Rodders and Land Speed Racers that last evening while under going hip replacement surgery my long time friend and Bonneville racing partner Bruce (Fuzzy) Geisler suffered a fatal heart attack...he just never woke up. For those who knew him he would want to be remembered for his many accomplishments to Hot Rodding, Land Speed Racing, his many records set and most of all his totally politically incorrect off color humor both on and off the salt. R.I.P. Fuzzy, God Speed!

Sorry to hear that Gary, he was quite the racer and fun to be around. I am sure that he really appreciated you and Brizz for rebuilding # 219, and all the good times you guys had running it. It's too bad that I didn't start going to Wendover until after you and Bruce retired it. R.I.P. Bruce .

Bruce was a great guy. Found the roadster I still race today back in 1981. He was always fun to be around and his humor was second to none. May he Rest In Peace until I get there. JD

I remember his blown SBC Model A pickup that was featured in Street Rodder. It influenced me to build a 350 with a 6-71 for my ‘32 5 window.
    Godspeed Bruce.

  8. Bruce was a great guy, both at Bonneville and the car shows that he attended.
    May he rest in peace.

Bruce and his A, looks like a lot of fun passed through that shop over the years.

Sorry to hear that. I got to spend a fair amount of time around him in the late 80's at rod runs in the PNW as we shared several friends including Ron Moore.
He hollered at me in the pits at Bonneville in 1998 and we got to visit for a bit then.
One of those guys you just flat enjoyed being around and he will be missed.

Condolences to the Geisler Family and Friends on the sudden passing of Bruce...Age aside this type of loss really is devastating to all involved...my uncle lost his life under similar circumstances...

I remember that pickup and that Streetrodder...

@saltracer219 sorry to you and your Team on the loss of your close Friend and thank you for sharing this loss to the Community...

Sad to hear, Bruce was the real deal. He did it all and very well . Do you know if and when there will be a memorial/celebration of life for him?

Did he have the Alayla(?) Geisler Construction truck. R I P.

  19. As said above, Bruce was the Real Deal. I'll miss him a lot. I'm sure when he came through the Gates it was known he had arrived by the sound of his Blower Drive. Then his long time friend Don asked if he brought fresh Peanuts.

I don’t know the answer to your question, but IIRC, that is a chopped, ‘48/‘53 era GMC.....correct? Love that truck....ever since I first saw a photo of it somewhere many years ago and occasionally have seen pics since.

I did not know this man, Bruce Geisler, but from the descriptions of those who did, it would have been a privilege.

My sincere Condolences to his Family and many Friends. May he Rest In Peace.

I still remember his blown RPU at Lodi in the '70's. I wanted one of those soooo bad but could not fit in one. He was a great guy. RIP.

He was a member of the Rod Rider Racing Club and I knew of him and met him a couple of times. A loss to the racing community.
