Summer of '42 in Miami

During the spring and summer 0f '42, dad was going through Basic, then Gunnery School. He bought a camera shortly after Basic, which he drug across the Pacific to document his time in the service. I thought the Hambers might like this pic of the cars on the street in Miami in July '42.

 

Wish I were in Miami right now. It's 22 degrees here in the Mid-Atlantic. Brrrrr!

 

I like the fact that you can walk sloooowly across the street without getting run over by a bunch of idiots.

Yep. Dad's original album had over 400 photo's. They go from from Basic Training through his return in September 45'. Australia, New Guinea, Philippines and Okinawa.
