The name story....pretty simple, actually. When I was a young hot rodder, we called the guys who were doing burnouts on the streets, etc. "squirrels". Years later, I got a pic of my car in Hot Rod magazine....doing a burnout on a public street! So, I figured I must be one of them squirrels. And this was right about the time I joined the hamb

 

Damned hot rodders.

LOL there was a few winters that Squirrel stew was the mainstay of my diet. Somehow this thread has ruined that.

 

Completely off the topic of celebrating our squirrel, but get you an instapot! 4 squirrels and a bottle of apple juice, 15 minutes

 

I dunno...maybe I'm not redneck enough, or a little too civilized...but I'd have to be pretty god damn hungry (near death) to eat a fucking squirrel.
