The Antiquated update...

That was my first thought too! The hamb was more about sharing and discovery and less Hard line definitions about what made things cool. I know we drove you crazy: Shag and I cluttering up the boards with talks about girls and Randaddy and I devoting an entire thread to Levi's. But alot of inspiration came out of those days. Maybe I'm just waxing nostalgic.but I learned alot about life and people through that Forum. -Phantom

I like this section. I think it needs a way to put stuff in categories to make it easier to navigate. Not sure how you would do that.

I think this is a great addition to the HAMB, the stuff goes hand in hand with hot rods and customs.

Found this a couple of weeks ago, must be my Traditional Hot Rod tunnel vision. It's great and fun to see what all of us knuckle heads collect and protect. Thanks Ryan.

Was there an announcement on the main board about this that I missed? I just found it by accident and I'm wondering how many others don't know this forum is here.

I like it a lot, because it seems like I have more to contribute here.

 

I remeber when this first started and thinking it was gonna just be a cluster of crap...now it's the second thing I check every day on the HAMB (general discussion being first).

 

Old stuff is cool. Not just cars. Looking forward to a marketplace section for Antiquated stuff. One more thing to read every morning.....

 

add a gripe forum for all the complainers.
this would clean up a lot of garbage on the main forum.
hate ebay, my thread got deleted, this sux, that sux, trucks aint cool, some young person didnt like my car,I didnt get a trophy.......just have the mods send em to the HAMB Complaint Department

Yep, but they were never hotrodded before 1965 according to some experts here.
Especially International ones.
This is one reason I like the antiquated forum. You can discuss things without all the “it never happened back in the day” expert commentary.

 

And make Helen Waite in charge of the HAMB Complaint Department. Whoever has a complaint can go to Helen Waite for a solution.

What I would greatly appreciate is a form to ask questions about these old machines,and how to repair . For instance I have always loved the dark maroon color found on old tools from the late thirties but can not find it in rattle can paint .
