Before, after and after of my son's 58 Custom 300. Met up with a 4 wheel drive Chevy pickup. He was banged up, but OK. Car was down for a few months, but back again. This was my car for a long time.

This is my 58. I had this before the black Custom 300, but gave up on it because of the rust/condition. But, eventually got it done (1999). I bought it in 72.

The 58 Courier Sedan Delivery had 57 tail lights also. On the Ranchero, maybe it was because of the 58 tail lights sticking out,,they would get broken off when opening the tail gate, but the regular 58 wagon tail gate opened down too. The Courier was a 1 piece tail gate and opened up,,,hinged on top.

I used Ford Aerostar springs in my 58 Courier. Right out of the box, no cutting. Lowered the front a couple inches and rides great. This Avatar picture was before the springs swap.

I bought my '58 Ford back in 1968. It was a 292 w/3-speed on the column. I replaced the 292 with a 427 and 4-speed. The car saw a lot of street racing back then. A violent flywheel explosion late one night ended the car's street racing days. Luckily I had a blowproof bellhousing that saved my feet. I sold the engine to one guy and the body to a friend.
