Hot Rods Early Ford Store of CA

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by RB35, Jan 20, 2020.

  1. Has anyone used or heard of this supplier in San Dimas, CA? I ordered an oil pump idler gear for an 8BA flathead and a week later still "processing. Trying to contact them now by phone, no answer, no mailbox, no e-mail address. I'll follow up if I hear anything. Got a rebuild on hold til I get a gear.
    Thanks,
    RB

Good guys but I would say be patient...they are pretty old school and may not be as fast as people expect anymore :)

Everyone needs to visit the Early Ford in San Dimas. It's a once in a lifetime experience. So much early Ford inventory crammed into not a very big place, you wonder how they find anything. I go every year during the LARS just to get my early Ford fix. Go around lunch time as there is a really good Italian restaurant next door.

I live a few miles from the Early Ford Store. I use them for a lot of parts. The Early Ford Store has been around for many years and is a privately owned and operated early ford parts store.
They have a massive inventory of parts. Be patient. You'll get your part.
Their customer service is top notch when ever I am in there. They get a ton of customers so sometimes they can't answer the phone.

You'll see why if you ever visit the store.

They should be able to help you but if you strike out give us a call as we have them in stock.

I have made a couple purchases and very happy with the The Early Ford Store. They can be slow to answer an email as they are busy and I think their site says to call. I order parts from them last week and the order was put in USPS hands the same day. If you have an online account with them then they post the tracking number on your account.

If you get to feeling a little hungry while visiting the Early Ford Store there is a great café just down on the same side of the street that does excellent breakfasts and I assume other meals as well.
The name I don't recall just now...

I have bought a lot of parts from them. I am in Australia and they were excellent to deal with. Usually cheaper than the big guys for new stuff and have a great range of hard to find used parts.

They are going to be busy all week with all the guys in town for GNRS. A couple of years ago we stopped by "Roadster Show" week & picked up some door handles that everybody else was out of stock. Great place to visit.

I think it might be called Roady's.
More a restaurant than a café I'd say.
San Dimas has a really nice street car show which I have attended several times when in town.

I’ve used them once and never again. My order was missing parts and they now won’t respond to numerous emails and their phone goes to voicemail every time I’ve called.
