  2. Damn.... I was hoping more of you were older so that all the cool stuff you have accumulated would start showing up in the local estate sales for $20. LOL 58 on Tuesday. Seriously, hoping to learn as much as I can as fast as I Can. Scared to death that at some point the really cool hot rods will be a 1977 mustang with an antique LS motor in it....

I'm 39. Been into cars my whole life and don't plan on stopping. My 18 month old makes car noises the second he wakes up until he falls asleep at night. Happiest kid in the world until you take away one of his hot wheels. I hope when he's 39 and I'm pushing 80 we're stilling talking about how "someday soon" everything is going to fall apart.

I know it's not how it use to be, but what it is is now is all I know and I'll take whatever I can get and pass it along to my kids.

  8. Lunchbox,
That is an excellent statement,,,you are going to do fine !
Just keep doing just that ,the rest will fall into place !

My wife used to tell me that this was a pastime for old men, and retirees.

Looks like she was right. :D

I recently discovered our age group! I'm a Seenager (Senior teenager).
I have everything I wanted as a teenager, only it's 55-60 years later.
I don't have to go to school or work. I get an allowance every month. I have my own pad. I don't have a curfew. I have a driver's license and my own cars. I have ID that gets me into bars and the wine store.
The people I hang around with are not scared of anything, they have been blessed to live this long, so why be scared?
And I don't have acne. Life is Good!
If you're a Seenager, you'll feel much more intelligent after reading this.
Brains of older people are slow because we know so much. We don't decline mentally with age – it just takes us longer to recall facts because we have so much information stored in our brains.
Scientists believe this can also make us hard of hearing as it puts pressure on the inner ear.
Also, we often go to another room to get something and then wonder what we came for. It's NOT a memory problem; it is nature's way of making us do more exercise
    SO THERE!
    I'm a Seenager (Senior teenager).

Seventy in a couple of weeks.

A similar age poll was held on an alternative energy site full of very handy do it yourself off gridders, that mostly design and build all their their own stuff themselves.
    Similar result to here.
Much to many peoples surprise, we mostly all turned out to be old retired farts just like myself. There seem to be very few really young guys out there sawing stuff up, welding, and drilling holes in things as a hobby these days.

I flashed on that thought of the 1977 Mustang with an LS motor being a “Cool Car”. Oh God please, NO!!!!. .............. Then I woke up. Bad Dream ?

Yes, we did. “BOOMERS “wrote that manual and seen a lot, experienced a lot, paid a lot sometimes for what we did. I think our “Greatest Generation”Parents instilled “ALOT” in us.
