Could be as @Chevbucket posted additional info and pics and it was identified as Cal Morrow Coupe and built by same also of BC maybe now owned?...lovely ride either way and it could deliver the goods...;)

    https://kustomrama.com/wiki/Cal_Morrow's_1934_Ford

    Quoted from Kustomrama...below...

"Darryl Foster bought the coupe an turned it into "the Orange Krate." The Orange Krate version was shown at the 1963 Vancouver Pacific International Motorama."

    So maybe a Relative...

Don't think Billy Foster (race car driver from driver from Victoria) ever owned the orange krate it was sold to 10 different people after Cal Morrow built it and Billy was not one of them. But maybe he did own it and his name was billyfoster.jpg not on the list. In the late seventies the car was sold to a Hell's Angels member on the mainland and from there the trail goes cold.

Well look what I found...just another night of flipping through my old magazines , kind of makes it more interesting when I run across something that is currently being posted ....makes the trip to Hot Rod past worth taking when I can share the ride.

I don't know how famous the car or its owner is...but it's a Roadster and it's owned by a lady....nice car and owner, I like at the end of the story, total investment $1500....Hell you probably couldn't even buy the front wheels for that now days...and I don't mean the one's with lug nuts that are Popular these days.
Actually I'm not sure how they got the front wheels set up on this one ....it says early brakes on a drop axle ...with spindle mount wheels? 20200117_153145.jpeg 20200117_153105.jpeg 20200117_153124.jpeg

Thats very cool..it's always nice to hear of a Hot Rod that is being driven and enjoyed by its owner ...as they were intended in the "Fast Lane"

  21. ^^I think that is Mazooma1's Crosley powered dragster on the trailer, with ol' Doug sitting on the tire.

I grew up in Fontana and remember this car well. The owner was one of my friends nextdoor neighbor and was rarely seen out of the garage. The blown flathead and red metalflake radiator hoses were really cool standout items for me. Really a standout car as most hot rods in the area were pretty rough. Ironically the R&C photo spread was taken in the parking lot of Palmetto Park in Fontana. I just happened to be at the park when they were taking the photos. Being the car crazy 12 year old that i was I started asking questions. They told me they were busy and blew me off!

Heres some shots from the 81 "The Best of Hot Rod"
Well I got work to do now ...I have been going through my magazines, sorting and switching from boxes to tub containers, and I had about 8 stacks of some of my late 50's to late 60's Hot Rod and others , over waist high and I just heard a odd sound and looked up to see them all go over like dominoes and shoot across the room....crap. 20200118_143821.jpeg 20200118_143805.jpeg 20200118_143723(1).jpeg 20200118_143630.jpeg 20200118_143545.jpeg 20200118_143454(0).jpeg 20200118_143443.jpeg 20200118_143424(0).jpeg

Posted a few days ago by Hotrodart, this photo immediately took me back
to 1966, ducking out of study hall and going cruising with one of the older
guys in town, listening to "Hanky Panky" on WLS-AM out of Chicago. My pal's
car was a white '61 bubbletop with a 283, four speed and chrome reversed
wheels. I can picture one of those days now. I hope HRA doesn't mind me
    messing with his pic.

I'll ask my friend that's him on the other tire. He did say something about the dragster being Crosley powered.
