I'd check with the Ayala Bros.

If that doesn't work, try Joe Bailon.

There`s a 57 Chevy with similarities featured in Custom Rodder in the late 70`s or early 80`s. Also from Colorado.

Gimenez' T-Bird was built by fireman Joe Ortiz, the man responsible for the wild transformation of the Tiago Ranchero.

That is what I thought too but look at the cars behind it all American 50's

  25. Ok guys, I might have something on this. I think you are talking about Pat Shaw's '57 Chevy. It was around the scene in the mid 80s. After that I didn't see it around Denver area car shows anymore. I think someone mentioned that it was later redone in kandy brandywine with more body mods, but I might be mixing up two different '57s. If anyone would know more about Pat Shaw's car or any custom '57's it would be Roger Jetter (@40StudeDude).
We talked about Pat's car way back on page 153 of this thread. Man, that was a long time ago!
Here's a pic I posted then of Shaw's '57 courtesy of Rikster and Scott Pavey. The car had a '41 Chevy back window and '60 Chrysler taillights.

On a side note, @lbf100 posted a page of pictures taken around 1985 with Pat Shaw's '57 in the group. If you look closely, in the upper right hand corner pic you can see a wild looking Anglia that I used to see prowling the streets of Denver when I was a teenager. I used to see it cruising Colfax all the time. After the Lakewood Police started blocking off Colfax and cruising was outlawed around 1987 I never saw the car again.

At last year's Leadsled Spectacular (2019) I had a blast from the past, seeing the Anglia again for the first time in over 30 years. Pretty cool!
Now, keep in mind I'm a custom guy, not a high performance, go fast kind of guy at all, but every time I saw this car way back when it really did something to me. I guess it was the kandy and flake paint, with the skinny spindle mount front wheels and slicks running around on the street. Don't see much like that on the streets nowadays! Anyway, here's a few pictures I took of it last July. Bummed me out that he wasn't running true slicks anymore. Oh well..........E

I'm pretty sure I have posted shots of that from back in the day in the Anglia gasser thread.

"Bummed me out that he wasn't running true slicks anymore. Oh well..........E"...

That's CUZ Steve Becker, the owner, DROVE the car from Longmont, ColoRODo to the 50th NSRA Nats in Louisville, Kentucky last August and stopped in Salina, Kansas on his way...

Thanx for the mention OG Lil E...

As for Pat Shaw's kustom, he built three 1957 Chevys...the first one was a 2 dr. hardtop, painted blue, and had twin '59 Cadillac taillights in the rear above a stock bumper. Can't remember the name of it tho. The second was the car OG lil E shows above (think it was named "Scarlet Lady")...however, neither '57 had the taillights as mentioned by Stanlow69...the third '57 Chevy was a convertible that Pat modified...the body mods weren't nearly as nice at the previous two and Pat only had it for a short time...he eventually put it back to stock form and sold it...
