    Back in the days before carbon fiber fiberglass and sometimes aluminum were used but low budget rodders and racers used lighting holes to "Lighten up their cars. I've seen the in all kinds of places including frames, axels, brake backing plates, fenders, deck (trunk) lids, you name it. I've even seen them in the rear window fame of a '40 Willy's lets see some of the places you have or have seen lighting holes.

    Not my car, but lots of holes. Even in the valve covers.

    I have heard that having holes in your valve covers gives a massive increase in horsepower.

    I did not know that Holley made cannoli, I thought that it was just carburetors. ;)

    never really thought of holes but I do use aluminum or light weight stuff wherever I can

  22. We just made these stainless steel bumper brackets and bumper. 7/8's Hole saws didn't last long. I think we used six or seven of them. Now to make end caps. 10062.jpeg

    Only example so far! I think the OP means "lightENing holes". As in "to lighten" something by reducing , wait for it, weight. LOL
