German military map case - what do you guys know?

    I’ve had this case for about 40 years. No idea where I got it but I’m sure my father was involved - he was a classic junk collector.

    Although it was made in Berlin, the officer information handwritten on the inside is in English. Edmund F. Coates Capt 6th Armored Div.

    Is this thing US? English? ...German?

    Do you guys know anything about it? I know nothing .

    Its cool . Have you googled the name of the manufacture or the Mans name ?
    6th Armored Division was in South Africa in WWII .
    The logo is that of US forces stationed there.
