  2. This half ton hood measures right at 76”, so sounds like what you have will work on a C10.

I need help de-coding the rear end in my truck. It’s in my 64 C-10. 12 bolt that I had built, Eaton posi, 342’s and yukon axles. I believe that the pinion bearing is going out and I tried to look up the numbers but I can’t find any info. There’s WA 12 31 on the driver side rear axle tube and N 3838227 on the passenger side front of the pumpkin and GM5 on the driver side front of the pumpkin. These are the only numbers that I have found. Any help will be appreciated.

Here's my '64 C10. It has bags on all corners and now has an Olds 455 bored 0.060 over, which I just installed. Haven't driven it yet as I have some patch panels to finish and install. I'm going to paint it satin gray one day.

Here's a link to a video of the 455 running:

Always nice to see some 60-66 activity on the HAMB.
Don't see fenderwell headers on these trucks very often.

  18. Love this truck! Looks like something that I would have built with leftover parts from my model car collection when I was a kid (lol).
Dig the tunnel ram with the dual carbs with velocity stacks. You don't see that much anymore. It sure reminds me of the "Street Freaks" and crazy muscle machines we used to see on the streets and in magazines back in the 70s. E

  20. Hey gang,

After having Ratiki built for twelve years, I've decided to do some renovating. I've started a build blog (linked in my signature below) that isn't going to be on the HAMB since my truck is a 65. I figure that's the respectful thing to do.

A Smeding 420hp 383 Stroker is awaiting installation. I'm weighing options on a drop-member. I've torn the entire front clip off and have it down to the rails for a deep-cleaning, detail painting and a susp and mechanical refresh.

Finally going to use this as my daily which was the idea from the get-go before I sent too much and let it get precious. Those of you who knew Cindy "CRASH!" Rashcke, know how much of her amazing paint details appear on this truck. After parking the truck when CRASH! passed away a few years back, and not knowing how to move forward, I've decided it's time to honor her amazing work by getting the Burb back in cruising shape.

All mods are going to be suspension and mechanical and a wheel change will be the extent of the aesthetic changes. Cindy's work will continue to define the truck.

No more garage queen for me.

I'm going to drive the wheels off of it. But first, a little renovating. Feel free to follow and subscribe. It's going to be a fun time nd what better way to out 2020 in the rear view mirror.

    Onward!

  21. I’m pretty sure you can post the truck here @Slimegreeeeeen since it technically fits the rules. My 66 has been posted a few times with no issues. Cool that you are making it a daily.

HAMB guidelines say 65 and earlier, and actually, the 66 trucks are grandfathered in due to them being of the same series.

  24. Finally got all my parts gathered up and ready to finish building a motor to replace the junk one in my 66. I’m building another small block for it that should be a fun motor. It’s a 350 I had in a 68 C10 about 20 years ago that needed some freshening up. My son drove it a few days ago and I caught a pic of it and my bird.

Here is my beater, did a frame up on it but up until last fall it was bone stock with bias ply tires. It was terrible to drive and I needed a change so went to radials and an 8" rim on the back, and did 4-5 drop with springs and shocks. it is a BBW, factory air, 283 powerglide PS truck. It did go to Saudi Arabia last year for that show and auction but it made it back. It is the on the back of the new Brothers shirt which is kinda cool. First pic is pre-lowered!
