Robert / Bob Croker or Coker was one of the brothers if I remember correctly. After the shut down one of them was selling model a’s in Montana and I seem to remember that there was some jail time served by one or both of them

I have wanted one of these since I road in one that belonged to a friend of my dad's in 1966. It was the 3-speed overdrive version and man did it fly. You just don't see a 1957 Rambler Rebel anywhere. For me this represents the first actual Muscle Car. It was a special model (Rebel 4door hardtop) with the largest engine that was reserved for the full size Hudson and Nash (327 4bbl with dual exhaust). It had trim that separated it from all other Ramblers
along with its own special interior trim.
I would love to have one to play with.

... We have a Rambler Nash collector here in SE Mich also ... 80+ year old farmer who still works from sun up to dusk 6 days a week ... He has museum quality cars in his pole barn but keeps these out back ...

 

He probably would he says they are for sale.

This car is running a transplanted Pacer drivetrain, V8/automatic. I heard it run - boy, it did sound good.

 

It is ruff but I will ask him what he will take for it. And will get some more pics. Asap.

Ah shoot I never get that lucky...that barn is just about to destroy it though so I hope someone did! Here's mine...
