Went out New Year’s Day and jumped in the ‘56 Chevy to go to the NYD drags at old Kingdon, dead battery. Jumped it and took off. It started fine at the gas station but wouldn’t start at the bank, sh!t. Texted my buddies to say I’d be late. The wife schmoozed a nice fellow into giving us a jump and off we went. Nothing like a day at the drags, the smell of race gas and burning rubber. Had lunch at a Mexican restaurant and got home with no more problems. Typical hot rod fun and a great start to the new year. 5. Nope, last day was 12/20. The starter went on my Ford, have to get some help to turn it around and push it back into the garage so I can dive under it. With the SBC swap, I have to pull a motor mount bolt and raise the engine on the passenger side. Also need a relatively warm day and line up a helper.

  9. Was out for a little ride today, so I could be among the first to ride in the new decade.

Yes, I have. I picked up my '37 Chevy from the trim shop. It was in for a minor repair to a door panel. (I don't do upholstery).

  16. Sad to say, I transferred my title on m 36 Chevy to my final resting place and had to wait till after the first of the year to get my plate, hence shes just sitting in the garage just waiting. I think tomorrow is a good day to battle the hoard at the DMV and get ths ball in motion. I got my new knee in November so im ready to go. Mitch

The new decade doesn't start till the end of 2020 - December 31, 2020 . The new decade starts January 1, 2021 .You have a whole year to get on board and drive it into the next one.
So yes, I have driven mine this decade. Last ride October 27 2019.

  21. "This decade" is in the last 10 years, sure, in 2020 sure. Don't worry shooting your buddys' nice paint with a "Squirt Gun" full of water is only 5 months away, be patient, springs on the way.

Have driven the '40 ten days out of ten this month, several hundred miles. We have snow forecast for tomorrow, so if they lay down the salt, I won't drive it. If they don't need to salt the roads, I'll be in it going somewhere! Yesterday and today were rainy; we've had almost 4 inches since noon. But I needed to go to the store for my wife.

Lucky you alfin 32, it's 9.26 pm and 9* plus a cold wind here in UK but shouldn't grumble as it.s been a mild winter.
Unfortunately haven't been out in either of my motors for while, i broke a half shaft on my 55 pop and had to fit a later model Leyland Sherpa diff with a stronger spline pattern than it had resulting in 2 shortened half shafts as well
and decided to change the front rubber brake pipes with braided ones, the diff needs filling with oil and the brakes need bleeding and they are always a pig to bleed gawd knows why!
My 32 pick up has a problem with a leaking C4 trans and i want to redo the petrol pipe from rubber to copper tubing
but they will have to wait until i have a wee bit more time, i'm not 20 anymore and these jobs seem to take so much longer when it's cold n im old... pop side view.jpg 32 pickup side view.jpg

Nope, not this decade, the decade before, or the decade before that. I think I'm the..."I'm going to fix it up someday"...guy. Oh well.
