Here are some pics of my friend, Dan Crowley's stuff. Some of it is for sale in the HAMB classifieds. He'll make anything you want.

These were at the Road Rocket Rumble... pictures do not do them justice. Way, way cool.

Here is my submission.... I made me a 'falling cow' sign. Not to much effort needed, but I wanted to show if off.

A custom hot wheels car modeled after the Maine Baron's 1034 coupe... just needs lettering...

My bud Chris50 striping a bass... in the middle of the Road Rockets Rumble... in 90* heat... on a blacktop parkinglot... not his smartest move...

Thought I’d do a short start to finish piece this week. Nothing spectacular, just a goofing off piece.

Starting off with a rough pencil drawing while sitting in front of the tube.
A little out of wack but close enough to start from.

Next up is to draw it again and clean some things up. I switched over to the computer at this stage. And after that piece by Brush last week decided to add a little more than just the delivery. This stage was done in Illustrator.

Then I used the second drawing as my guide for the color. I’ve moved over to Painter for this step using the markers as my brush.

Finally I’m back to Illustrator to finish things up. The line drawing gets modified by changing all the line weights, and in some cases colors. A couple of touch-ups made to the color and we can call it done.

Thanks for the insight into your killer work.
So does the Painter image get placed into Illustrator behind your line art?

Yes it does. I like to use a lot of layers and in the final version the color is the bottom layer.

What do you do to knock out the line art of the brick wall where it passes behind the interior of the car?

Here are a couple of photos of the pinewood cars that me and my son built for this years cub scout race... The VW was the car I built for the Adult Race... I did the carving on the Roadster but my 8 year old son did all the sanding and the paint work on that one...

My son won the "Best Paint" trophy and the VW finished 1st in the Adult race and recorded the fastest time of the entire event...

    Lots of fun....

    Bill....you inspire me...well....you all do.
there is so much talent on this board ,it's incredible!

here is a little insight into my digital stuff.......
I first rough out a drawing..low res in painter....just enuff to give my client a direction or feeling in where I want to go.
After a few rounds of discussions and I get a green light I proceed......
