    That car looks a lot like the early genesis of today's (ahem) rat rods. It looks to have a sectioned non-Ford body. I wonder what the third brake light on the roof was for? Maybe they towed the car backwards on an open trailer?

    The hours spent is of little concern if it brings joy. I have a paraplegic friend who is confined to a wheel chair and the internet connection is what keeps him sane.

    Not many I do most of my collecting on sunday. You look for something and that leeds to other sites so most of the time it's go to one site then follow links.

    That front hairpin looks like it is below the scrub line of the front tire.

    This one does not qualify as an altered--too long in the wheelbase and too much engine set back. Based on the cars in the background the era that it raced in would have had it as a lower classed /C (Comp)entry. Basically a dragster with a coupe or roadster body.

    Ray Higley in the Higley, Hubbard and Werne AA/FA. Originally powered by an alky burning 455 Olds it is seen here in its later form with a 480 Dodge on fuel. The car was a Dragmaster product most likely because Higley worked for Jim and Dode at the time.
