Just saw my old car for sale. Its still in New Jersey and the price is 30,000. I painted this car in 1985 after doing all the pick and file bodywork. I metal prepped the car with Oxysolv then I primed it with Martin Seniors zincron primer, then lacquer primer over that. Then I put 14 coats of black Ditzler lacquer. upload_2020-1-3_11-23-55.png At the time I didn't realize that this zincron primer was the top-of-the-line for corrosion resistance. That car is being sold is all original. If he only knew

Thanks for the kind words. I painted it in 1988 with Martin Senor Acrylic enamel (plus hardener) and it has held up well. Have owned it 56 years. Amazes me that there are still lots of 40 coupes out there. One will come your way. Happy New Year.

Damn near killed me. After I rubbed it out both my arms went numb. My friends said get to the doctor your going to have a stroke. Drove over to the doctor, he took my blood pressure and said you couldn't have a stroke if you tried. Your exhausted what the hell you been doing? I pointed out the window and said I have been painting that damned car Dr.Somerville, who is 70 years old at that time said Holy shit that's a Lasalle! He said take a week off from work and take two multivitamins every day. Never painted a black car after that. It was either red or it did not get painted. Thank you for the compliment Anthony I'm sure your skills are a lot better than mine. The older I get worse my bodywork is
