Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by Norrland, Dec 25, 2019.

  1. So i have this 55 Commander that will some kustomtreatment during the winter. Have a modified and badly kustomized 53-54 frontend. Got rear fenders with bigger wheelopenings. Also got a couple of 1956 golden hawk fiberglass fins that will be modified aswell. Thinking about light quanted headlights. Fins will be modified with 1960 caddy taillights. Here is some of my plans FB_IMG_1577191054754.jpg FB_IMG_1577191015648.jpg

    I love it! The '60 Caddy tail lights will look great.

    it survived until recently when the car sold on Craigslist, then a few weeks later the front clip was advertised by the new owner because he was going to restore the car back to stock.... what a shame

  17. I don't remember if ever saw an image of this kustom named "The Chinaman" completed or if it ever was but they sure had a good start on it. Would've been a good looking car.

    Way back around 1970, there was a root beer brown metallic '55 Nomad running around my native Athens, Ohio, with vertical quads and no other mods whatsoever. This car had some 5 3/4 inchers mounted below the original 7" lamps. It was awesome to our 10 year old brains, as there was a Hot Wheels Nomad that had a similar headlight treatment at the time, and was always a topic of discussion when seen. "Hey, I saw the Nomad today, up on Second Street...."

    Very cool. I see you have the original buckets to work with. I need a pair of 58 Lincoln buckets to do the same. 20200325_181725 (2).jpg 20200325_182105 (2).jpg

    O.K., so... after being inspired by this sight, I used some of the extra time I have... I am almost half way done with giving my truck bi-focals;
