    Hahahahahahahaha...
Good morning all you old farts.

    One thing's for sure...
    None of us feels alone.
One of the neat things about the HAMB.

As I'm getting older, I find that I have a choice... either pace myself each day, or work hard for as many days as I can... until I can't LOL. I busted ass for over a week. But I've had two days of recuperation.

All the animals are fed. Meds, coffee, and a donut for me. I think I'm ready to hit it again.

We'll see how this goes... LOL

    Hoorah!

  10. It looks like aging has not affected our sense of humor. Some of the replies had me laughing....and that is the best medicine . So to chime in , I'm 65 and decided to stop the aging process.....from this day on I am 25 and thats it . I am sitting here trying to coin up something humorous. Hmmmm..... ok so...many older people suffer from terrible diseases........like SAR's ....shit aint rite .......lol.

That Jimmy Buffett song encapsulates why my former students recognize me but I rarely recognize them. They grew up, I didn't.

  12. Back again .....ok so the older I get the older ...old becomes. So at 16 somebody 21 was old, at 25 someone 40 was old, at 40 someone 60 was old, at 60 someone 85 is old . For me I will never get old but yes I will get older. The game of life........At 65 I am in the 4th quarter....1st down . To explain , birth to 20 is 1st quarter, 20-40 second, 40-60 third, 60 -80 is 4th , 60-65 is 1st down, 65-70 is 2nd down , 70-75 is 3rd down 75-80 is 4th down .....after that hopefully your in overtime. Touchdown and game over . God Bless.

  16. Well when I read this the first time my brain said that I am 62. My wife has since informed me that I am 65.

I think a lot of the age demographic is dependent on a lot of things. I have a young friend for example (mid 20s) that is not only a car guy but a totally trad car guy. But he comes from a car family. What it takes for the hobby/lifestyle to live is for us to pass on our knowledge on. That means more wrenching and driving in plain sight and lawn chair sitting. Probably wouldn't hurt if we were the old coot in town that drove our hot rod and only drug our late model out when the weather was good, and not the other way around,

At 65 I'm also a member of the largest age group here.

I ended up with a leaky pipe once a few decades ago. For several years I was on a travelling crew upgrading telephone Central Offices in Iowa, so we'd usually be in some town or another for a few weeks at a time. That lent itself to the sampling of a wide variety of sizes, shapes and ages of females, some with few, if any scruples. I was in a small town along the Mississippi River south of Dubuque for quite some time, and ended up requiring the services of a local doctor to address my issue. As Old Wolf mentioned, back then the public health officials wanted to track who was affected in order to be proactive about eliminating the disease. I told the doctor the name of the girl who's beans I had been plowing.

How was I supposed to know that the doctor had a daughter?

Hit the big 60 this year. Got over three million miles on my ass in a semi truck, some days I feel like I did when I was 25, other days I feel like every joint is rusted solid and I can't hardly move them. 16 months and I can semi retire, finances permitting, and I'm looking forward to it. Last few years the trucking industry has went to shit with all the strict regulations and made it hard to squeeze out a living, looking forward to being able to slow down and enjoy what time I might have left. Want to get my car back on the road and get out and go like I was able a few years ago.
