im an idiot, I need another Ansen style clutch pedal assy, and I dont remember where I got my other one. And help would be great.
I won't mention names but one guy makes a beautiful set up BUT lacks proper brake pedal ratio, prepare to lengthen pedal or pedals............................................................
I like R-Jays as he has lengthened his pedals I think 3 inches and they work really good. I have them in my deuce pu.
If you won't mention names, how on Earth is your post at all helpful to someone not already familiar with the issue, ie the OP and me???
@krylon32 is correct, RJays makes his pedals with a correct ratio now. In fact I posted in a thread started by @daddy_o’s _diner a couple years ago when the issue of ratios came up and at that time RJays (sorry, I don’t recall his screen name) said that he would provide revised pedals for anyone that wanted them. You can’t ask for more than that.
I have had this set of pedals for 35+ years and have never used them , I have to make a new shaft for it, the original one got misplaced years ago. I don't know who made them, haven't found any markings on them. I might put them in my Studebaker that I'm building at this time. Sent from my SM-T387V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
"If you won't mention names, how on Earth is your post at all helpful to someone not already familiar with the issue, ie the OP and me???" Now you were warned to ask questions first not just buy it cause it's "beautiful? When I bought mine and found out the ratio was short I personally called him and was politely told he had never had a complaint. Consider my post as a free "bump" for Jim the OP.................................
For sure they are Ansen, but they are for the early V8 Ford three bolt master cylinders, unlike the more often seen GM truck clutch/brake master. Also yours are for a floor mount application unless you add tabs for the pedals to work firewall mounted.
Rudestude just has his mounting bracket upside down. Nothing unusual about his set. I’ve seen plenty that fit the Ford cylinders.
Correct it is upside down, so that the mount was more visible for the photo. Also if I do use it I will be fitting it with a another plate with bolt holes that match the master cylinders that I will be using. Here's a page from my 67 Honest Charley's catalog plus a couple that I saw online. Sent from my SM-T387V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
