Hot Rods How old are we really?

71 years young...

 

65 but I feel older than dirt.

 

75 - A bit of a medical train wreck, has not stopped me, but sure slowed me down some.

 

I enjoy talking,likely too much ! Take my hot rod to a few shows a month when weather lets me,now 77,still love driving.
I let the kids that have good manners and ask,sit in my rod. Often mom or dad take photos an even ask to get in too.
Seems just good will to do so an helps in bed hot rodding into the younger kids. Always nice when the young lady's ask too.

 

Physically 62, mentally 9 & 3/4.

 

Three Score And 11...So Far...

 

I had my 15th Annual, 29th Birthday Celebration back in August...

 

Just turned 68 on the 21st.

69, felt like 50 ‘til the heart attack in August, now I feel like 75. Workin’ my way back though, still got projects to finish and places to go.

Glad I was given the gift of life when it was granted to me. I and many in my generation feel we have lived the best years of this nations times beginning in 1940, and now quickly coming to an end. But then most older folks through time have always said those same words .

 

if ida known id live this long I would have partied a little harder and left a good lookin corpse . way to late now . 59 and a half !!!

 

It seems two thirds of those polled are 61+ years old. I also suspect that many of those have had the same car for a long time. If Ryan gave a senior discount on Alliance Memberships, he would be looking at some of the same problems that are hitting the print magazines! 78 here.

Good thread topic. I'm 57, new to hot rods, not new to OT cars.
Will be interesting to put ages to members I've been watching post.

 

Turned 68 in October. Old & dumb can still do most everything I did when I was young & dumb and full of Cumm. Now it just takes a lot longer to do those things and a whole lot longer to heal up from the aftermath.

61 here ......boden is 14 years old ..there is hope for this stupid hobby ,, and his age helps keep our HAMB average age down !

 

Just turned 60, I know I passed the torch to younger guys 20 years ago by selling them model A and T bodies , the promblem is that you cant store bodies on your property, at least in California and E-bay has killed swapp meets.
The recession didnt help either but I would say the biggest culprit is schools not having shop class anymore.
Its up to all of us to pass the torch, get those young kids to dropp their phones and grab some tools and build something.

 

53 this coming Friday, I used to be the young one but I've turned into the old grumpy fucker!

 

18 going on 83.
