Hooking up a PCV system to a 235 that will be looking like a 216 so I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a 2 bolt valve cover made for a oil cap that did not have those 3 vent holes stamped in it,I am wanting it to breath only through a filter oil cap.

I bought one years back for under a hundred bucks.

looks almost identical to a 216 v/c but non vented.

paint it, or keep it chrome, but if you do watch it rust over in days !!
    Lol

    there’s a listing on flea bay for $42.50 !

Or you can go fancy with an offey or Fenton or Wayne aluminum one !!

I thought I seen some on ebay that looked like there was no vents so this gives me a excuse to go back to the local old junkyard for a look, there is a 53 or 54 235 that I grabbed the studs off of so its just laying on the engine.

  6. Just braze up the vents from the inside & paint it. the GMC valve covers are longer will not fit a chevy.

If there are none in the local junkyard with no vents I will have to do that,I still need to get one made for a cap since I have three pre 48 valve covers with no cap provisions.

Did not find any that were usable at the local old junkyard so going to look into those new ones on that auction site,46.50 shipped to my door is less then some want for the crusty originals not including shipping.
