Here we go again. Sorry for having to ask as I know this is listed somewhere. Looking at using a ford 4sp top loader with the Jeep T-176 shifter top and forks. What years am I looking for regarding the trans. Thanks in advance.

    64 to 73 for the toploader. 80 to 86 for the T-176.

Jeep used the t176 trans from 80-86, I think you may be talking about a t15 or a t90

20191227_202036.jpg jd, the t-176,177,178 were also used in the full size jeep trucks. I don't recall seeing it mentioned before but there are 2 different shift levers. Here they are.

I’m working on early mustang 3 speed 303 doing the Jeep top swap. I understand you need a 1976- about 1982 top from the Tremec T150 transmissions out of the CJ-5 or CJ-7.

There is a pretty good deal on brand new tops loaded with shift forks and slides for $120 ride included.

All I need now is the shift lever and I might be interested in the ones pictured above.

The stumbling block I’m dealing with now is will the later model T176 stick work with the T150? I plan on cutting the lever off about 3” above the top so I can connect a chrome Hurst lever. If anyone here knows pipe in please.

Could you supply the part numbers I can’t see one of them at all and the other is difficult to read with these old eyes.

28 Ford PU, the stick on the left is J5359837 used in sj and the stick on the right is J5359835 used in the cj. The one used in the cj is still being produced by an aftermarket company if I'm not mistaken.
